This coming week, on November 2nd, we will celebrate All Saints Sunday. On this day we remember all those beloved ones who have died, and remember the promise of life we all recieve through Christ.  As Lutherans, we believe that all people are both saints and sinners, and on this day we remember not only the “big” saints, but those average every day saints who have impacted our lives, witnessed to Jesus, and loved this world. We gather together in our grief and gratitude for those who we miss and who we’ve entrusted into God’s loving arms. We gather together to cling to God’s promise of life and hope for all people. And we hold to the promise that, “God will wipe away every tear from our eyes” (Revelation 7:17).
